Torch Troubleshooting Tips
If you're checking out this page we assume you may be having some troubles with your torch. We are very sorry to hear this, but before you give up and send the item back for repair, we kindly ask if you could try the troubleshooting tips below:
- Check there is no plastic battery protector/isolator still inside the torch
- Tighten the tailcap fully
- Test the torch with brand new or fully charged batteries
- Charge the torch using a different charger and charging cable
- (to ensure it is not the cable or charger fault)
- Charge the torch to the full charging time that is advised in the instructions
- For Olight Javelot Pro 2 the charge time is 9.5 hours
- For Powa Beam Asteroid V2 the charge time is 5.3 hours
- Check the correct buttons are used to turn the torch on and off. If in doubt, please read the instruction booklet included with the torch
- Ensure you are using the correct charging cable and adaptor to the required voltage
- Sometimes an underpowered USB adaptor will not charge the torches correctly. Please check the instructions for the correct voltage required
